Just Gimme The Prize
I suppose you could consider it money well spent. Our third year of band sponsorship of 3RRR has yeilded a prize. In fact we won the first prize. Digidesign and M-Audio's "Pro Tools Music Creation Studio" Bundle. Finally, my one handed keyboard playing dreams shall be realised. Paddy up-front with his hair greased down and the dudes dressed in full Tubeway Army regalia behind.
How wonderfully nice to win something. I fear it may only further expose the lack of time we manage to spend on the band...but Silky's recent opus and my ongoing opera (used in context, in a sentence!) will now receive the production values they deserve.
In addition, pleasingly, Roadkill Rodeo won two days recording at Headgap.

Well even if everyone else has better things to do I am gobsmacked.
This is very exciting news.
When do we get our hands on these hot techie gizmos so we can lay down some more burning tracks?
this is what happens when you visualize success.
How good is this!
RRR are awesome. Digidesign and M-Audio are awesome. And dammit if Squid Ink isn't awesome.
And while I'm at it, the easy and natural use of opera as the plural of opus is pretty goddam awesome as well.
In answer to Crafty, RRR send me a letter and we go and pick it up. I am not sure how long this will be. But as Paddy says, it will be awesome.
You guys should send a thank-you letter to Squid Ink patron and mentor, Uri Geller, for making this happen
